Destination Daylight Project

About the Daylight Community Project
The Daylight Foundation is proud to launch its first community transformation hub at the Family and Youth Service Center, located at 1120 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. This site is more than just a building—it’s the beginning of a movement to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity for struggling families across Louisiana. Our mission is to provide a safe, uplifting environment where single-parent and two-parent households can find the support they need to escape cycles of poverty and instability.

The Daylight campus will offer comprehensive services including financial literacy training, workforce development, adult education, family and mental health counseling, parenting classes, and mentorship from program graduates. It will feature transitional housing, access to nutritious food, wellness facilities like a gym and green space, and dedicated areas for child development and community events.

Rooted in compassion and strategy, this pilot project represents a scalable model for revitalizing Louisiana’s most underserved communities by responsibly using our state’s abundant but underutilized resources—education, land, energy, and talent. The Daylight Foundation believes that real change begins at the community level, and from this foundation in Baton Rouge, we aim to replicate this model across the state, building a future of financial independence, family stability, and generational wealth.

24-Month Journey: Structured program to lift families from poverty to financial independence and generational wealth.
